Description[Blog] is a top 20 real estate and finance blog focused on the current crisis and the mortgage mess. The site covers daily news with opinion and analysis.
The site is currently written by myself (the owner) and one other paid writer who contributes twice a week.
We are looking for a writer who can pick up the latest news from the industry and post it with some brief analysis and insight.
These would be short posts, typically under 500 words and would need to be posted regularly as new news arrives.
We are looking for someone who can work for either a flat monthly fee of around $300 or for a per-post fee in the $10-20 range.
Requirements:
- Understanding of the real estate and mortgage industries and Wall Street
- Ability to monitor news and write in near real time
- Ability to post 2-4 times per week (depending on agreement reached)
- Engaging writer with a sharp wit and strong voice
We're looking to beef up our editorial team and may be willing to take more than one applicant if we find the right fit.
[Blog] is a growing blog with about 20,000 uniques a month and 1800 RSS subscribers, but it's revenues are limited to date so we're looking for hungry writers who want a platform and are looking to build a blog together. We'll share in the success.
