Date: 2008-03-31, 3:21PM CDTSolo psychotherapist in private practice located in Downtown Chicago. Part- time position requires 2-3 hours/week with the possibility of additional hours in the future.
There is a lot of flexibility in this position as you work from your own home office. This position will involve medical billing and verifying client information. There may be an opportunity for administrative work in the future. Candidate needs to feel comfortable speaking on the phone with insurance companies and clients.
Duties:
1. Verify eligibility and benefits of new and existing clients
2. Submit claims to the insurance companies
3. Follow up with insurance companies regarding submitted claims
Requirements:
1. You have your own password protected computer with internet access.
2. You have your own telephone line with private voice mail.
3. You have experience with medical billing.
Training for this position will be provided. Prior experience working with insurance companies is necessary. Candidates need to be responsible and timely.
