Our nationwide language agency is hiring On-Site Interpreters, Telephone Interpreters and Document Translators.

The on-site interpreters provide face-to-face interpretation in English and their target language, assisting personnel with their non-English-speaking clients.

This is an on-call/as needed/independent contractor position. All freelance interpreters, not holding a binding clause, work with several different agencies in order to create a high volume of work. Scheduling is very flexible and we will only offer appointments during the times and days the interpreter chooses to work.

The telephone interpreters provide over the phone interpretation, from the comfort of their own home, in English and their target language, assisting personnel with their non-English-speaking clients.

This is an on-call/independent contractor position. Their in charge of their scheduling and we phone interpretations are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The document translators provide written translations either in English or their target languages.

This is an on-call/independent contractor position. Scheduling is very flexible.

Summary of Applicant Requirements for On-site Interpreter Position
1. Oral and written proficiency in both English and target languages.
2. Must pass a language proficiency evaluation.
3. Must attend an over-the-phone Interview prior to starting work.
4. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
5. Prefer at least 1 year of experience in the medical industry or medical industry related courses.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology.
7. Excellent customer service skills: the ability to interact with people of different cultures, religious beliefs, educational levels and socioeconomic groups.

Our nation-wide language agency is looking for bilingual professionals who have an interest and/or experience in working as professional on-site or telephone interpreters and/or document translators. There are part-time, flexible hours and virtual work opportunities available in this field.

We currently have availability for over 150 languages.

You must have fluency in two languages (English + one other language), have excellent phone (if interested in phone interpreting) and people skills. You must be able to work as an independent contractor and complete the w9 tax form with your social security number or tax identification number.
