Department Description: The department manages the schedule scope resources quality and outsourcing to implement public safety communication systems.
The team is responsible for implementing the projects on time or early and meet or exceed the contract pre-tax levels.

This is a telecommuting position and will be based either in the Capitol Region in NY or the Central NY region.Responsibilities/Expectations: - Manage multi-disciplined team (including third party subcontractors, engineers, system technologists, etc.) to successfully implement two-way Voice and Data Radio Systems
# Creation and maintenance of schedules, resources, risk management plans, forecasts and additional revenue through change orders
# Establish strong customer relationships
# Communication of status, accomplishments and escalation of issues^^
Knowledge Skills: - Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
# 5+ years Project Management experience experience in public safety in the state & local markets highly preferred
# Broad range of Relationship Building, Project Management experience
# Applicant must possess a strong working knowledge of public safety and state and local markets
# Demonstrate effective communication and deliver presentations in a public forum
# Effectively manage a complex schedule and apply strategic initiatives to improve schedule performance
# Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both verbal and written); comfortable interfacing with all business levels
# Experience with outsourcing and supplier selection and management
# Negotiation skills with proven ability to establish win-win relationships with customers, [Company] and 3rd-parties
# Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desirable
# Master's certificate in Program Management desirable
# Experience leading people and building cohesive teams is a critical business need
# Proven ability in strategic thinking and planning
# Strong analytical/problem solving skills required. Demonstrated success in process improvement
# Value-based decision making and intuitive thinking skills are essential
# Proven ability in strategic thinking and planning
# Experience in quality or cycle time improvement efforts
# Commitment to customer service excellence
Basic Qualifications: 2+ years program management/project management or technical management experience
