Training is full-time Monday through Friday 11a-8p for 6 weeks in downtown Birmingham and then after graduating the training the shift is PART-TIME (work-from-home) on Monday - Friday (11a-3p OR 4p-8p)

About the Opportunity

Help our client be a leader in their industry by acting as the customer's first point of contact with the company for post-sale assistance with self-installation or subsequent problems; answering incoming calls from internal and external customers; providing customer assistance for registration, email creation, DSL physical line signal testing, modem/filter set-up, plus email, browser, and modem troubleshooting; operating a computer terminal to document all cases; interacting and coordinating with other departments to resolve customer issues or provide additional services; and determining further action or final completion on customer cases received.

Qualifications

* Uses superior customer-oriented telephone etiquette to get information. Greets callers, establishes rapport, projects professional tone, handles complaints, and records statistics on each call. Place outbound calls as required.

* Is a compelling and articulate speaker in a variety of settings. Easily adjusts the message to match the audience.

* Promotes excellence by providing superior service to each customer. Must be able to analyze customer issue with limited information provided by customer.

* Capable of producing comprehensive documentation.

* Handles complex problems effectively. Separates key issues and generates multiple solutions.

* Able to sit in front of computer for prolonged periods of time. Able to type for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or exert force of up to 10 lbs.

* Ability to multitask between systems.

* Experience in a help desk or IT support environment. Knowledge of basic computer operations including Internet and email protocols, connectivity and understanding of Internet Networking. PC and hardware troubleshooting knowledge is required.
