Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the Senior Accountant is responsible for month end and year end close activities. This position will handle all balance sheet reconciliation, month end and year end closing, processing monthly journal entries, managing pipeline and fixed asset, project accounting and payroll functions. Special projects and financial analysis will be assigned as needed.

Must Have:

* 5-7+ years of experience in an accounting role with progressive responsibilities
* Strong General Ledger month-end close experience
* Project or professional services accounting experiences strongly preferred
* Great Plains or equivalent accounting system experience preferred
* Strong Excel skills
* Must work well independently with the ability to analyze, investigate and resolve accounting related issues
* Strong communication, customer service and organization skills
* Experience with payroll, employee benefits administration and/or HR-related activities a plus
* BS or BA in Accounting
* Strong working knowledge of GAAP and their applications

Duration: Fulltime, although flexible schedules are potentially available

Location: [Company's] office in Los Altos, CA (with significant off-site flexibility)
