Workaholics4Hire Gets An Extreme Makeover
Today is the day that we finally re-launch our Workaholics4hire.com website.
(I’ve been waiting to type those words for weeks, and it feels great to finally do so!)
In fact, we can’t really say that this is even “our website” because it has been rebuilt from the ground up entirely based on all the terrific suggestions and requests we’ve received from clients and members for the past 5 years.
In essence, this is YOUR website, and we hope you enjoy what your suggestions and comments have inspired us to build.
Everything is sparkly and brand new, and not just the design either. Our entire business structure has gone through an Extreme Makeover, which you’re going to love if you are:
- A current customer of ours
- A client who has been waiting for our outsourcing help for your business
- A job seeker who has been trying to get hired by our company
- A work at home hopeful who wants to find a job or freelance project
If you need help with getting projects done, or you need help finding a job, then you’re going to love what YOU have done with the place!
The Backstory
Now, you may have been one of the people who asked “Why did you take it offline?” so I’ll get that out of the way first.
Back in November 2009, hackers decided to start hammering spam at our servers, using our comment forms to throw thousands of spam bits per day at us.
As a result, our host shut down the server temporarily until we could secure it. Our techs temporarily fixed things and we were back up and running.
Until a couple of weeks later when it happened again. And then again. And then again.
Each time, they found a new back door to insinuate themselves into, and each time, we had to spend hours fixing it. All the while, having to sift through a few thousand spam a day in our support desk. (No thank you, we aren’t interested in enlarging anything)
All of this was getting tiresome, to say the least.
In the meantime, I had been meaning to get the entire site re-built for the last two years. Between client projects (which always take priority over our own) and our other websites keeping us busy, it never seemed to be the “right time” to spruce up the place.
So, when this spam attack happened, and our band aids were proving to be just temporary, I made an executive decision to shut down the site and take it completely offline, which I knew would force me to sit down and finally “get it done”.
And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy, but it was the best thing to do under the circumstances!
The site itself is now built entirely on the WordPress CMS platform, which is absolutely wonderful! With the help of my wonderful and brilliant husband, Michel Fortin, who did the design work, as well as coding, we now have a spiffy new look. And no, he isn’t for hire.
But more importantly, the site has lots of critical bells and whistles that make it more secure, and far more functional that ever before. In essence, the site has been completely modernized, and works more efficiently.
But It Wasn’t Just The Website That Needed A Makeover
As many of you know, we’ve been in the project fulfillment business for more years than I care to remember. We’ve also been trying to be the One Stop Outsourcing Shop for many many years, covering everything that business owners need in one handy place.
But to be honest, we never quite managed to get the system running as smoothly as we wanted it to, and often had more clients than we had trained freelancers to help them with their projects. Demand definitely exceeded supply, for many many years!
Now, All That Has Changed…
Over the last few weeks, with the site shut down, I was finally able to take ten steps back from the core business and truly examine what we should be doing differently…for our clients and for our job seeking members.
And boy howdy, did we ever spruce up the joint as a result!
We’ve launched one very important new service for our clients, that finally puts all the major pieces together and makes it possible for us to handle ANY kind of project you need to outsource.
That service is called Project Facilitation, and if you’ve ever needed stuff done and were frustrated by the experience of hiring freelancers, you’re going to LOVE how we’ve structured this service. We’ve made it possible to have all projects handled under one roof, but with $0 service fee markups!
And if you want to get a sneak peek into the behind the scenes action around here, and see exactly what we do when we’re managing a project, we’re giving away a free copy of one of our Project Manager’s Blueprints called Getting Articles Written From Scratch. You’ll be able to download your own copy on the Free Outsourcing Blueprint page.
We’ve also upgraded our Customer Support service package, and can now provide you with more service than ever before, including Live Call staffing, Live Chat staffing, Social Media staffing and Reputation Management.
And if you’re in need of personal guidance on your business, and want a team of experts helping you with Business Strategy, we now offer you the ability to book Business Strategy Sessions on an as-needed basis, and include a step-by-step Accelerated Strategic Action Plan (A.S.A.P.) Report with every recorded session.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention…
I spent a few hours brainstorming on the many different tasks that can be outsourced to freelancers, and came up with the List of 227 Tasks To Outsource, which may surprise you! (I know it surprised me just how many common business tasks can and should be outsourced)
And We Didn’t Forget About Our Job Seeking Members, Either!
As you know, we’ve been around since 1999, and have helped thousands of people get their own work at home job. We love what we do, and we have made this website the Go To Place for work at home resources.
So, while we’ve been busy restructuring our company for our clients, we’ve also put some new features together for our job job seekers as well, and we know you’re going to love it!
For starters, the old jobs database is completely revamped, and it is now much easier to find the exact type of home based job you’re looking for. You can now search with keywords, use the Jobs by Job Type tag cloud, access just external job listings (jobs we’ve found on the web for you) or narrow down your focus to just jobs that our company is hiring for (internal job listings).
We also have a completely brand new member signup process, and you will need to Register as a Member right away if you want all the extra bells and whistles we have for you. Our internal job listings are password protected, so you need to be an active member to access those listings and be notified whenever our own clients are looking for people to fill their positions.
We’ve completely revamped the Work at Home Tips section for you, as well as the Software Training and Tutorials area.
We will also be introducing a new section, coming soon, which will answer the age old question…”Is It Legit?”. This section will give you the opportunity to ask our expert research team about any job opportunity you come across, and find out if it’s real or a scam.
Now, to be clear, we aren’t talking about jobs that are already listed in our database. We know these are real. What we’re talking about are those “always seem to be hiring” websites, like the Paid to Write, Paid to Surf, Make Money Taking Surveys, Paid To Answer Questions, or Paid To Read Your Email websites.
If it is a site that seems to be hiring a ton of homebased workers, and you’re wondering whether or not you should apply, you’ll be able to ask our research team to check it out and give you the scoop.
So, stay tuned for that section, which will be opening soon…
OK, I think that about covers the main stuff for now. Please feel free to poke around and kick the tires on our brand new website, built with your suggestions and requests in mind.
We Love What You’ve Done With The Place!

Hi
I signed up with you in 2008, and never got any information , now this is 2010 so what is this about now?
Hi Kathleen. Please review the primary sections of the site for information about what you need. I can’t tell from your comment whether you were looking for a job or for help in your business. Either way, the site has extensive documentation based on whatever section you need. Hope that helps!
Very nice. I love the subheadlines. I want that.
Great job, great branding, easy to navigate. I like the whole thing a lot.
I’ll put in a word with the big guy to get you your sub headlines. LOL
Hi Sylvie
So glad to see the site live! I have been watching my email for weeks now!
Looks great and tons of info.
Thanks for all your hard work.
You’re very welcome, Sue.
Hi Sylvie.
I’ve been a member and subscriber of your website for a few years now. I recently received an email advising me that it was the last message you are sending me unless I specifically register to continue my free membership. I went to the URL you sent me: http://www.workaholics4hire.com/jobs/become-a-member/ but when I register, there is no “button” or “link” to do so. I fill in the information and nothing happens. Please advise… I don’t want to lose my membership.
Thank you,
Elyzabeth I. Munoz
Hi Elyzabeth,
I’ll jump in on this one. Sylvie’s using all of her 18 arms, 2 heads and 36 hours out of a 24 hour day at the moment. lol!
If you go to that link and scroll down a little bit you’ll see a box that says “Member Registration.” It asks for your name, your email and primary desired occupation. Right under that there’s a button that says, “Submit Form.”
If you don’t see those, let us know.
Good luck in your search for work!
Mornin
Hi Elyzabeth. I’m wondering if there’s a problem with the submit form button on your end and will get our techs to look at it.
Can you tell me what browser you use? IE? Firefox? And which version of that browser? That will help us Sherlock it if there’s a problem with the coding.
Thanks!
Glad to hear from you Sylvie. I used to work on the writing team. Do you still provide those types of services to your clients?
Yay! Back in the day, our first outsourced project was with Work-a-holics4 Hire! We loved our account manager, I can’t believe I just spaced her name! Anyway, glad to see you back, we have had many great experiences! Congrats Sylvie & Michel!
Hi Leisa
Yes, but not the way it used to be. We don’t sell writing services anymore. We manage the writers through our Project facilitation service, and our client pays the writers directly. See this for more info:
http://www.workaholics4hire.com/services/current-service-packages/project-management/
You would find out about these types of projects through the Internal Listings section, so stay tuned there. I happen to have it on good authority that we have a client who will need LOTS of writing work done very soon. be on the member mailing list to be notified when we need to vet some writers
Sylvie
Finally! Somewhere to go with a research team that will tell you what’s really going on instead of having to wonder if we’re just seeing with blurred vision. Then we take a chance just in case it really is “real” only to find out most of the time we didn’t need glasses after all.
Eyes wide shut? Is that what it means? No more guessing….. the few times it might be for real won’t be missed now!!
I meant to put the URL that still has your “Internet Marketing Sins” right there on the left side. I took that car care products site to a PR3 even though I mixed it up with Internet Marketing, RAP Music and various other categories – the taboo of SEO but oh well…I like what’s real and you and what you offer are very real!!
