The idea for Workaholics4Hire.com was born in early 1997. The President and founder of the company, Sylvie Fortin, had been successfully working from home for about two years. She noticed that the internet was flooded with telecommuting jobs, but few people had the understanding of how to find them. There were few, if any, resources for people interested in working from home, and none were offered without an up-front fee. Employers were becoming increasingly frustrated with the market, as there were few resources to assist companies in implementing a telecommuting program. So, she started researching the topic.

What she found was an incredible market that had yet to be explored: the Freelance, Outsourcing marketplace was virtually untapped and ripe for a company such as this to be formed. In time, she decided to take the leap and create an online presence. The first pre-launch of the site was in May, 1999. The response was astonishing and created a flurry of activity for the staff of Workaholics4Hire. Within a short period of time, it became clear that a new staffing solution was being formed and the demand for this service has been exciting.

Our staff are located throughout North America, all working from their own home offices. We utilize a unique system of project management that allows us to communicate easily and efficiently. We have discovered that communication is the number one priority when remote staff are deployed. Our staff meetings are held online, at regular intervals, and we hold project-specific staff meetings and discussions throughout a project's duration, to ensure that all objectives are being met with strict controls. All files are backed up online, to ensure that at no point does a freelancer lose touch with the team.

We have many plans for the growth and expansion of this company and we all join together in our desire to create the Staffing Solution for the New Millennium.

A Brief History Of Workaholics4Hire

06/2007: We are pleased to announce that we have finally transitioned to a brand new service model. We are now offering flat rate service packages to our customers, and because of this, we can now fling our doors wide open for the first time since our inception!

Plus, we now offer a very unique affiliate program, so other marketers can share in our success.

02/2005: We have been so busy working with our clients, that it has been nearly 4 years since our last major site update!

This is because our clients always come first, before we handle our own internal projects.

After so long, we had many new items to implement, and wow, what a change!

Major changes here at Workaholics4hire! New services, new site design, new information, we updated everything!

07/2001: Launched new website design. We held a contest to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. To thank all our members and clients, we gave away lots of free services and prizes.

01/2001: Created Portfolio databank

10/2000: Launched intensive marketing campaign to enable client companies to expand their current service offerings and provide full range of project fulfillment services to their own client base. Response has been phenomenal, as our client companies can now generate substantially higher revenues with their current customer base, offering "One Stop Project Fulfillment Solutions" to their own customers. We provide the full range of services, and remain invisible to their clients, acting as their 'Silent Partners in eBusiness'.

We will be hiring many new staff members to join our team so watch for new announcements in our mailing list for members only.

07/2000: Complete overhaul of the Workaholics4Hire website. Cleaned up the log in process, enabling members to log in without the tedious sign-up process.

  • Introduced brand new system for employers. More interactive and allows complete client services from beginning to end of projects.
  • Database fixed. No more passwords needed. Membership is now optional.
  • Bonus jobs and subcontracts available to members only
  • Revised and reintroduced Resume Creation Services
  • Online Training. Ask the experts about telecommuting.
  • Online Training Courses section introduced.
  • Telecommute readiness test implemented

03/2000: Second Workaholics4hire.com re-launch (Brand new site look and feel). New membership sign-in area.

12/1999: Project Fulfillment services through Workaholics4hire.com and Team Manager System introduced.

10/1999: Workaholics4hire.com becomes an Incorporated company in Ontario.

07/1999: Launch of original Resume Bank (no longer publicly available due to privacy concerns).

06/1999: Launch of very first discussion board. Launch of original Jobs Database.

05/1999: Pre-launch of Workaholics4hire.com.
